Course Description


This course introduces the fundamental concepts and methods of Biostatistics and Experimental Design. Students will learn how to collect, analyze, and interpret data in the context of biotechnology research. The course will cover topics such as descriptive statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, and analysis of various experimental designs. R statistical software will be used for analyzing experimental results.


Course objectives


By the end of the course, students should be able to:

- Understand the role of Biostatistics and Experimental Design in biotechnology research

- Describe basic study designs and their implications for valid inference

- Apply appropriate statistical methods to analyze data

- Interpret the results of statistical analyses

- Design experiments and analyze the data they yield
